Ingredients
Ingredients
- 2 Medium Sweet Potatoes
- 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tsp Salt And Pepper
- 1 Pinch Cayenne Pepper
Directions
Directions
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes if desired. Cut into fries about ¼-inch thick so they cook evenly.
- Soak the fries in cold water for 30–60 minutes (optional but recommended). Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss the fries with the cornstarch first (if using), then drizzle with olive oil and coat evenly.
- Sprinkle over the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Toss until every fry is evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer, leaving space between them. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 12–16 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- For extra crispy fries, increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C) for the final 2–3 minutes.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips for the Crispiest Fries:
- Soaking helps remove excess starch for a better texture.
- Dry the fries thoroughly before seasoning.
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Cornstarch creates a light, crispy coating.
- Sweet potato fries soften as they cool, so they're best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer.
