Cold-weather cooking calls for a pot of something hearty and this classic ground beef chili fits the bill. Beef browns with onion, garlic, and green pepper before a trio of beans and tomatoes simmer down with chili powder and a whisper of cayenne. An hour on the stove builds deep, warming flavor, and like all good chili, it's even better reheated the next day.
