- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar - Firmly Packed
- 1/4 Cup Raisins
- 1/4 Cup Slivered Almonds
- 2 Tbsp Light Corn Syrup
- 2 Tsp Salt
- 2 Tsp Sesame Seeds
- 2 Tsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 - Bay Leaf - Crumbled
- 1/4 Tsp Aniseed
- 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 Tsp Red Pepper - Crushed
- 1/8 Tsp Cloves - Ground

- Brown chicken in hot oil in large skillet or Dutch oven.
- Add water to cover; simmer for 30 minutes.
- Combine remaining ingredients except rice in blender container in order listed; process at medium speed until sauce is smooth.
- Drain broth from chicken in skillet, reserving 1 cup broth.
- Combine reserved broth and sauce; add to chicken.
- Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve over rice; garnish with sesame seed and lime slices if desired.
