- Dice the tomatoes and place them in a bowl. If they’re especially juicy, drain off a little of the excess liquid.
- Add the diced onion, jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.
- Stir in the lime juice, salt, pepper, and optional garlic and cumin.
- Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- Let the pico de gallo rest for 15–30 minutes before serving so the flavors meld together.
- Taste and adjust with more lime juice or salt if needed.
