Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 Box Strawberry Jell-O
- 1 Box Lime Jell-O
- 1 Box Orange Jello
- 1 Box Lemon Jell-O
- 4 Cups Boiling Water
- 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 Can Evaporated Milk
- 1 Cup Milk
- 3 Packets Unflavored Gelatin
- 1/2 Cup Cold Water
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
Directions
Directions
- Prepare four separate bowls or shallow containers, one for each gelatin flavour. Add 1 cup of boiling water to each bowl, followed by one package of flavoured gelatin. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Pour each flavour into a separate lightly greased shallow dish. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until completely firm.
- Once set, cut the coloured gelatin into small, approximately ½-inch cubes. Carefully loosen them from the dishes and transfer to a large bowl, keeping the colours mixed but the cubes intact.
- Lightly grease a 9 × 13-inch baking dish with a very thin coating of neutral oil, wiping away any excess.
- Pour ½ cup cold water into a small bowl and sprinkle the unflavoured gelatin evenly over the surface. Allow it to bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until warm but not boiling.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm milk mixture and whisk continuously until completely dissolved and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the creamy gelatin mixture to cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally. It should remain liquid but no longer feel warm to the touch.
- Evenly distribute the colourful gelatin cubes throughout the prepared baking dish, gently mixing the colours to create a stained-glass appearance.
- Slowly pour the cooled creamy gelatin mixture over the colourful cubes, allowing it to flow between the pieces. Gently tap the dish on the counter to release trapped air bubbles.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, preferably overnight, until completely firm.
- Once fully set, use a sharp knife dipped in warm water to cut the dessert into approximately 2-inch squares. Wipe the knife clean between cuts for neat edges.
- Carefully lift the mosaic cubes from the dish and arrange them on a decorative serving platter. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
