Whole apples are cored, filled with cinnamon sugar, dotted with butter, and wrapped snugly in pastry before baking into tender, flaky parcels. Each dumpling is a self-contained dessert, warm and fragrant with spice. Serve them fresh from the oven, maybe with a pour of cream, for a homey treat that feels like a hug on a plate.
