In a bowl combine flour, salt, oil and cold water. Blend well. Refrigerate, uncovered for 30 minutes. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Fold egg whites into batter thoroughly.Core apples, then peel.Slice into 1/8" thick pieces. Coat in batter.Deep fry for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.Sprinkle lightly with fine sugar and cinnamon.
