Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add Lemon Juice and Lemon Rind.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to butter alternately with milk. Pour into a buttered loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour.
While cake is baking, squeeze the juice from lemon and add 1/4 cup sugar ( glaze).
Take cake from oven and allow to stand 5 minutes. Remove loaf from pan and place right side up on large square of tin foil. Pour glaze over loaf, seal and store.
