Lemon Loaf

Ingredients

1 1/2 Tsp	Baking Powder
1/2 Cup	Butter Or Margarine
2	Egg
1 1/2 Cup	Flour
1/3 Cup	Lemon Juice
1 Tsp	Lemon Zest
1/2 Cup	Milk
1/2 Tsp	Salt
1 1/2 Cup	White Sugar

Directions

Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add Lemon Juice and Lemon Rind. Sift together dry ingredients and add to butter alternately with milk. Pour into a buttered loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour. While cake is baking, squeeze the juice from lemon and add 1/4 cup sugar (glaze). Take cake from oven and allow to stand 5 minutes. Remove loaf from pan and place right side up on large square of tin foil. Pour glaze over loaf, seal and store.
